Overview

HPE Hybrid Cloud Sales Specialist - Public & Defense (m/w/d). This role is designed as Hybrid with an expectation to work on average 2 days per week from an HPE office.

Responsibilities

  • Generate new business to increase HPE’s market share for hybrid cloud solutions with named public and defense accounts.
  • Develop and sell hybrid cloud solutions to those customers on a partnership basis.
  • Develop new projects and solution opportunities to build a short- and long-term sales pipeline.
  • Establish a professional consultative relationship with the client, including the C-level.
  • Develop in-depth knowledge of the client's business, organization, and future challenges to define a solution roadmap.
  • Interface with internal and external/industry experts to anticipate customer needs and facilitate solutions development.
  • Maintain knowledge of competitors in the account to position the company’s solutions effectively.
  • Drive large-scale hybrid cloud projects for large public and defense customers, ensuring seamless integration between on-prem and public cloud environments.
  • Act as a trusted advisor to enterprise customers, translating business objectives into customized hybrid cloud solutions that drive measurable outcomes.

Skills and Requirements

  • Academic degree in an economic or technical field.
  • Extensive selling experience within the public segment or defense industry with similar solutions.
  • Typically, more than 10 years of advanced sales experience.
  • Profound knowledge of the IT cloud market and experience in IT support, operations, managed, and technical services.
  • Strong closing skills and ability to generate new business and close deals.
  • Collaborative skills and ability to lead with other sales teams.
  • Reliability in building a sales pipeline, forecasting, and customer management.
  • Customer-oriented consulting skills with the ability to challenge a customer’s status quo.
  • Experience driving complex cloud transformation projects for enterprise customers with strategic alignment and execution.
  • Strong business and financial acumen with technical expertise.
  • Team- and goal-oriented work ethic; creativity, initiative, and reliability.
  • Business fluency in German and English.
