Initiativbewerbung - Hardware Engineer / EMC Specialist (m/f/x)

Location: 80331, Munich

What to expect:

Responsible for leading EMC tasks for the HW/SW team
Collaborate with System, SW, and Mechanical teams during development on EMC topics to achieve regulatory approvals
Lead and conduct pre-compliance and formal EMC compliance tests in accredited laboratories according to EN 60601-1-2
Identify issues and provide technical solutions to achieve regulatory approval
Serve as the reference person with certification bodies regarding EMC certification, GAP assessments, and amendments
Develop concept designs, select components, and create electrical drawings and documentation, including CAD schematics and layouts, cable and assembly drawings, and technical specifications
Work on prototype builds, analyze analog and digital circuits, troubleshoot, and test circuits using laboratory equipment such as oscilloscopes, spectrum analyzers, logic analyzers, and function generators
Participate in EMC testing activities and troubleshooting
Conduct engineering tests, evaluations, and develop protocols and procedures
Collaborate with Manufacturing and Test engineers to develop manufacturable and testable products

What you bring along:

Strong knowledge of EU, US, and international medical standards: IEC 60601-1, RoHS, ISO 14971, ISO 13485
Expertise in IEC/EN 60601-1-2 tests: Conducted Emissions, Radiated Emissions, Harmonics & Flicker, Surge, EFT, ESD, Radiated Immunity, Conducted Immunity
Ability to handle change requests independently
Solid experience with laboratory equipment
Specific EMC/EMI training or certifications are highly valued
Familiarity with transducer interfacing, power supplies, and microprocessor-based designs
Good knowledge of ECAD tools such as Mentor PADS and Altium
Experience with Application Lifecycle Management tools like Polarion
Ability to interpret electronic system schematics, design electrical circuits, troubleshoot, and repair equipment
