Accounting Team Manager – Interim Contractor, remote with regular travel

An international company is seeking a Senior Finance Manager or Accounting Manager to lead the Accounting team. Managing the existing Accounting set-up and international team members, you will oversee and manage the team to ensure correct and timely processes for book-keeping, month-end and finance operations including AP, AR.

The right candidate will be an experienced Team Lead or Manager with strong people skills, strong accounting process knowledge and will be experienced running an accounting team.

Your role:

• Team Management for Accounting function for offshore Accounting team in Bulgaria
• Lead Accounting processes and ensure that the Accounting team are following processes correctly to ensure timely, compliant bookkeeping and accounting
• Finance Operations Management: lead the team for Accounts Payable and Accounts Receiveable processes
• Team Management for the Accounting Team
• Collaborate with other team leads as needed across Finance areas e.g. Treasury, Controlling, Reporting
• Managing daily accounting as well as month end / Year end close activities

Your experience:

• Senior Accounting Manager / Accounting Lead with 5+ years' experience
• Strong prior Management experience for Accounting teams, ideally in an international setting or in a Shared Service Center or BPO
• Strong knowledge of International Accounting standards IFRS
• Strong communication skills
• Fluent English

Location: Remote, Europe, with regular (weekly) travel onsite in Sofia, Bulgaria
