Interoperability Test Engineer

We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Interoperability Tester with strong knowledge of DICOM (Digital Imaging and Communications in Medicine) standards. The ideal candidate will be enthusiastic about learning and improving their skills, and will support the team by conducting thorough testing, automating tests, and enhancing overall efficiency. This role is critical to ensuring that our medical imaging devices and software are interoperable, reliable, and meet industry standards. The candidate must be willing to work from the office during testing windows to facilitate collaboration and immediate troubleshooting.

Your Role

• Conduct Interoperability Testing: Perform comprehensive testing of medical imaging devices and software to ensure compatibility and compliance with DICOM standards.
• Validate DICOM Conformance Statements: Review and validate DICOM Conformance Statements to ensure that devices meet specified standards and protocols.
• Automate Test Processes: Develop and implement automated test scripts to streamline the testing process and improve efficiency.
• Collaborate with Development Teams: Work closely with software developers, engineers, and other stakeholders to identify and resolve interoperability issues.
• Document Test Results: Maintain detailed records of test procedures, results, and any issues encountered. Provide clear and concise reports to the team.
• Continuous Learning: Stay updated with the latest developments in DICOM standards and interoperability testing methodologies. Participate in training sessions and workshops as needed.
• Improve Testing Efficiency: Identify areas for improvement in the testing process and propose solutions to enhance overall efficiency and effectiveness.

Your Profile

• Educational Background: Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Biomedical Engineering, or a related field.
• DICOM Knowledge: Strong understanding of DICOM standards and protocols.
• Experience with DICOM file formats, communication, and networking.
• Testing Experience: Proven experience in software testing, preferably in the healthcare or medical imaging domain. Familiarity with interoperability testing is a plus.
• Automation Skills: Proficiency in test automation tools and scripting languages (e.g., Python, JavaScript, Selenium). Ability to create and maintain automated test scripts.
• Analytical Skills: Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills. Ability to identify, analyze, and resolve interoperability issues.
• Communication Skills: Strong verbal and written communication skills. Ability to convey technical information clearly and effectively to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
• Team Player: Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment. Willingness to support team members and share knowledge.
• Attention to Detail: High level of accuracy and attention to detail in all aspects of testing and documentation.
• Adaptability: Willingness to learn new technologies and adapt to changing requirements and industry standards.
• On-Site Availability: Must be willing to work from the office during testing windows to facilitate collaboration and immediate troubleshooting.
• Preferred Qualifications: Experience with Medical Imaging Systems – Prior experience working with PACS (Picture Archiving and Communication Systems) and other medical imaging software.
