IT-Administrator*in (w/m/d)

Overview

Profil is an internationally active and renowned contract research institute founded in 1999 in the field of metabolic diseases. We work with the pharmaceutical industry on the development of new drugs for the treatment of diabetes, obesity and related diseases. We also provide support for the further development of known active ingredients and the administration of insulin and measurement of blood glucose concentrations. At our site in Neuss, we employ around 400 people who contribute to improving the quality of life for people with diabetes.

We are looking for a IT Administrator (f/m/d) with immediate effect for full-time work (38.5 hours).

Responsibilities

• Administration, operation and further development of the server infrastructure, the network, the storage and security solutions used, as well as the client and terminal server infrastructure in the clinic and administration.
• Analysis of malfunctions in the network, operating and system software; initiation and implementation of root cause analysis; initiation and implementation of preventive measures and solutions.
• Continuous optimization of the existing infrastructure, server software and installations as part of change and release management.
• IT monitoring of network components, server systems, data backup and update management.
• Documentation, development of IT strategies and optimization and adaptation of future IT system design.
• Performing regular backups and disaster recovery system tests.
• Manage and help shape internal IT projects.

Requirements

• Successfully completed training as an IT specialist or a comparable qualification.
• Very good knowledge of Windows servers; knowledge of Linux is an advantage.
• Skills in Fortinet security components, HPE and Aruba hardware, backup, data recovery and virtualization platforms.
• Structured and independent way of working with a quick grasp and a high degree of customer and solution orientation.
• Very good language skills in German and good language skills in English.
