I'm partnered with a 30, 000+ employee headcount manufacturing company based in Dusseldorf that is actively searching for an IT Application Specialist to join their function.

The IT Application Specialist will be responsible for managing, maintaining, and optimising software applications within the business by ensuring applications function smoothly, support business operations, and align with company goals. This role will typically involve troubleshooting issues, implementing updates, integrating new technologies, and providing user support and training. Collaborating with Management and end-users to enhance system efficiency and functionality will be a must. Strong problem-solving skills, technical expertise, and knowledge of relevant software and databases are essential for success in this role.

Responsibilities:

• Provide help and guidance for users about the business processes mapped in the IT systems.
• Keeping track of what needs to be recorded and coming up with ideas for the ongoing improvement of IT systems.
• Planning, organising and carrying out IT projects.
• Connect with specialists from the companies IT service providers.
• Provide help and support for users facing problems and IT issues.
• Accepting analysing and getting rid of errors.
• Carrying out small improvements to the system which includes assessments and reports.
• Supporting and taking responsibility for IT projects.
• Putting training programs into action.
• Setting up, adjusting, and providing help for hardware and software parts.
• Oversee system monitoring and creating system documentation.

Experience Required:

• Completed training as an IT specialist, complemented by relevant further education or studies in IT/business informatics
• Minimum of three years of professional experience, ideally within the business processes of a production company
• Capable of independent and reliable work - Knowledge of ERP systems, with familiarity in INFOR LN considered a plus
• Proficient in the MS Office suite, particularly Excel
• Fluent English & German language
• Bachelor's degree in a technical discipline; advanced degrees (MS Engineering, MBA) or equivalent preferred
• Familiarity with Flow, Standard Work, Visual Management, Kanban/Replenishment systems, FMEA, and A3 methodologies
• Solid business acumen across various functions - Strong critical thinking skills to identify problems and potential solutions effectively
• Analytical skills for accurate data interpretation
