We are seeking an experienced Business Analyst:

We are seeking an experienced Business Analyst with at least 7-10 years of experience in the financial services industry, ideally gained in consulting environments. The successful candidate will have proven expertise working with exchanges, banks, and clearing houses, along with in-depth knowledge of risk management and market risk.

This role demands a solid understanding of the trading lifecycle, including clearing and settlement processes, as well as the ability to translate business needs into detailed software requirement documents. Strong SQL and data analysis skills are essential, while Python programming experience is a plus.


Key Responsibilities


• Engage with clients and stakeholders to gather, analyze, and document business requirements.
• Collaborate with exchanges, banks, and clearing houses to define requirements and design solutions.
• Assess and provide insights on risk management frameworks, with a focus on market risk.
• Map and analyze the end-to-end trading lifecycle, including clearing and settlement.
• Prepare clear and comprehensive Software Requirements Specifications (SRS) and other documentation.
• Perform data analysis using SQL, including complex query building for reporting and insights.
• Leverage Python programming (where applicable) to support analytics or automation.
• Break down business requirements into clear, actionable task items and discuss these with developers to ensure accurate implementation.
• Bridge communication between business and technical teams to ensure alignment.
• Support project planning, execution, and delivery to meet business objectives.


Key Requirements


• 7+ years of experience in the financial services industry, preferably in consulting roles.
• Strong background working with exchanges, banks, and clearing houses.
• Deep understanding of risk management, specifically market risk.
• Familiarity with the trading lifecycle, including clearing and settlement.
• Demonstrated ability to write clear and detailed software requirement documents.
• Excellent working experience with SQL and data analysis.
• Python programming skills (preferred but not mandatory).
• Strong communication and stakeholder management abilities.
• Ability to work onsite in Germany.
