IT Specialist (m/f/d)

    Overview of tasks:

    • Provides installation / configuration of software packages, installation / configuration of peripheral
    • Assemble new joiners welcome equipment pack. Updates equipment inventory accordingly
    • Disassemble and sort leavers equipment pack. Updates equipment inventory accordingly
    • Participates to the yearly inventory together with the Finance and Facility departments
    • Participates in the weekly meeting reviews with the team
    • Good reach-ability and availability
    • Provides instruction, activity guidance, being involved in providing support to company staff when needed;
    • Oversees the legal and responsible use of computer programs and equipment by users;
    • Supports and ensures the operation of the local computer network and reports any anomalies to the direct manager;
    • The employee must maintain constant contact with the IT Director / IT Manager / General Manager in the performance of his / her duties, reporting on the way in which the work tasks have been solved;
    • Proposes ideas for improving the work process, in order to increase the efficiency and quality of work;
    • Notices problems or violations of established rules and policies, even if they relate to the operation of work equipment or work tasks, has obligation to inform the manager directly in an appropriate manner so that the necessary measures are taken to remove the reported problems.
    • Mounting and cabling of the computers for the employees and training rooms
    • Active Directory Users, Groups, OU and Group Policy Objects Administration
    • Providing Remote/Onsite IT support and training for new users on the Work from Home solutions
    • Works with the Internal ServicerNow ticketing system for tracking the Operational and Non-Operational requests

    We expect:

    • Competence in heterogeneous system landscapes
    • Experience with Windows Operating Systems (Windows 10 / Server 2019)
    • Strong knowledge in Microsoft-based technologies such as Active Directory, DNS, DHCP WSUS, WDS, Group Policy Objects and Exchange Server
    • Knowledge of virtualization technologies is an advantage (VMware)
    • Basic understanding of routing, switching and VPN technologies (Cisco)
    • Fluent written and spoken communication skills in English
    • Strong analytical skills and a good problem solving ability
    • Flexibility and reliability combined with high quality standards

    Qualifications

    Completed studies or higher education in IT (IT specialist, computer scientist) or extensive knowledge in the field of IT

    Knowledge of German language will be a plus

    Working Conditions:

    Ability to maintain IT coverage during evening shift. Evening shift: 17:00 pm to 01:00 am.
