(Jr.) HSEQ Officer – Expedition Cruise Fleet (m / f / d)

    About the Company

    Nordic Cruise Management is a young and growing management company of expedition cruise ships, operating a fleet of purpose-built vessels that navigate some of the most remote and breathtaking regions of the world. As a part of the Nordic Hamburg - Group we have a fully equipped and integrated offices in Hamburg (Cremon 32 – in the heart of the city), Singapore, Istanbul and Odessa.     About the Role

    Your tasks include ensuring compliance with all relevant maritime regulations, international conventions, and cruise industry standards for safety, security, and environmental protection.

    Responsibilities

    • Conducting regular inspections and Internal Audits ensuring the Company Management System, Policies, standards and procedures are effectively implemented on allocated vessels.
    • Proactive support developing the Company Integrated Management System.
    • Supporting the fleet with preparation and execution of Emergency Exercises and Drills, ashore and on board.
    • Monitoring and Analyzing incident reports as received from the vessels in management – initiating Root Cause analyses and preventing re-occurrence.
    • Maintaining HSEQ Statistics and identifying trends and areas of attention.
    • Participating in Risk Management processes.

    Qualifications

    • Bachelor’s degree in Marine Engineering / Operations, Naval Architecture, or equivalent.
    • Not less than two years’ experience as Senior Deck Officer in expedition cruise.
    • Job experiences ashore or experience auditing vessels is a plus but not a must.
    • Good practical knowledge with on board training; train the trainer education is a plus.
    • Excellent leadership and communication skills.
    • Fluency in English.
    • Willingness to travel as required.
