Job Description

We’re looking for a Junior Developer with hands-on experience in both Shopify and email marketing platforms like Klaviyo to join our distributed team. You'll support both agency clients and portfolio ventures, contributing to development and execution across e-commerce websites and retention-focused email programs.

Key Responsibilities

Shopify Development

• Assist in building, customizing, and maintaining Shopify themes using HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and Liquid.
• Support content and UX updates across product pages, collections, and site features.
• Help troubleshoot storefront performance issues and implement small enhancements.

Email & Retention Development

• Build and test responsive email templates in Klaviyo using HTML/CSS.
• Support the setup and maintenance of automated flows (e.g. welcome, cart abandonment, post-purchase).
• Assist in A/B testing and segmentation logic for performance optimization.
• Collaborate with strategists and designers to ensure alignment between creative and development.

Cross-functional Collaboration

• Communicate proactively with remote teams across design, content, and strategy.
• Organize and document development workflows clearly for internal visibility.
• Take initiative in improving processes and systems to increase development efficiency.
  

Requirements

Qualifications

• 1–2 years of experience or demonstrable freelance/shopify/email projects.
• Proficiency in HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and familiarity with Liquid templating (Shopify).
• Experience building emails and flows in Klaviyo or similar email platforms.
• Understanding of responsive design, email client limitations, and rendering best practices.
• Familiarity with Figma or interpreting design specs for handoff.
• Strong attention to detail, fast learner, and self-motivated.
• Fluent in English (mandatory).
• Must be able to work remotely on CET or similar time zones.
• Experience with e-commerce or DTC brands.
• Familiarity with analytics, Shopify apps, or Klaviyo data segmentation.
• Interest in UI/UX and front-end best practices.
