The Role
Are you a passionate and curious individual with a relentless drive for delivering successful software implementations? Do you enjoy tackling large-scale, complex problems and leading high-energy teams focused on transforming the way Life Sciences companies bring drugs to market?
We are looking for a senior, self-motivated Lead Consultant to join our Professional Services team. You'll be at the forefront of our mission, leading a team of Veeva colleagues and working side-by-side with one of our key enterprise customers. As a primary customer liaison, you will build long-term relationships and act as a customer advocate, guiding them in the adoption of industry best practices and providing value through agile delivery.
You'll leverage your existing background in Life Sciences software implementation and program/project management while innovating and developing novel approaches to project delivery. You’ll be responsible for empowering enterprise companies with best-of-breed cloud-based technology.
What You'll Do
- Lead a key enterprise customer in the IT Operations and implementation of Veeva Quality Cloud suite
- Manage a multi-year, multi-phased global implementation program, overseeing all aspects of program and project management, including resource planning, team leadership, project tracking, and forecasting
- Act as the primary customer liaison, managing all communication and relationships between the project team, customer, and internal stakeholders
- Oversee customer release management programs and IT operations for Veeva Quality Cloud suite
- Analyze customer requirements and new product features to develop customer adoption and enhancement roadmaps
- Mentor project teams and junior consultants within the Quality Services organization
- Guide customers in adopting Quality Cloud and industry best practices as part of post-implementation programs focused on continuous improvement
Requirements
- 8+ years of experience in IT Project Management, Consulting, or Product Management, with a proven track record of leading system implementation projects
- Experience leading large-scale Enterprise projects
- Proven ability to work both independently and in teams in a fast-paced environment
- Experience in assembling, planning, resourcing, budgeting, and leading project teams
- Experience designing and executing on effective project governance models for large enterprises
- Strong technical affinity and/or hands-on experience with software implementation
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills and the ability to engage with senior/executive-level stakeholders
- Good understanding of SaaS and GxP principles
- Ability to travel 25-50%; easy access to an airport
- Must be legally authorized to be employed in the EU. Veeva Systems does not anticipate providing sponsorship for employment visa status for this position
Nice to Have
- Direct experience with eContent Management systems such as Veeva Vault, TrackWise, OpenText, SharePoint, Documentum, MasterControl, EtQ, FirstDoc/FirstPoint, or NextDocs
- Experience in the Life Sciences Quality, Clinical, Regulatory, and/or Drug Safety spaces
- PMP, Prince2, or Agile Scrum Master certification
- Experience with Agile methodology and/or ACP Certification
- Change management experience
- Experience with PMO organizations
