Opportunity
This pivotal leadership role builds and shapes our digital consulting business in Germany. You will move beyond project delivery to define strategy, drive business growth, and mentor a high‑performing team of innovators.
You will have the autonomy to steer the application of emerging technologies—AI, digital twins, data analytics—leading engagements with major industrial clients and positioning Arup as the go‑to partner for digital transformation in the built environment.
Role Details
- Lead and deliver complex digital consulting engagements across the built environment and construction sectors, from strategy through implementation.
- Provide strategic advice to senior clients on digital transformation, data analytics, and emerging technologies.
- Drive client acquisition and business development, securing new consulting contracts and expanding engagements with industrial and corporate clients.
- Grow and manage key client relationships, acting as their trusted advisor.
- Act as the digital lead on major proposals and bids, shaping commercial strategy and technical value proposition.
- Drive development and application of AI and data‑driven solutions at the regional level.
- Lead and mentor multidisciplinary consulting and engineering teams, fostering a culture of excellence and client focus.
- Represent Arup at high‑profile industry forums, contributing to thought leadership.
Qualifications and Experience
- Minimum 10 years of proven experience in consulting or technical project delivery in digital innovation, ideally within the built environment.
- Strong commercial track record with experience leading bids, securing contracts, and expanding consulting services, particularly with industrial and large corporate clients.
- Demonstrated experience leading and mentoring consulting or technical teams on large, complex digital projects.
- Proven ability to apply AI and advanced digital technologies—BIM, digital twins, IoT, data platforms—to deliver tangible business impact.
- Strong client‑facing skills with the ability to advise, influence, and build trusted relationships with senior executives.
- Experience working with multinationals in the Science, Industry, and Technology (SIT) sector is a significant advantage.
