Lead Full Stack Engineer (Front-End Focus)

Overview

At Promon, we protect the apps people rely on every day. We’re building a new suite of web analytics and insight tools that will transform how applications are understood and defended, combining real-time telemetry, streaming analytics, and AI-driven insights to help developers and security teams stay ahead of threats. We’re looking for a Lead Full Stack Engineer (Front-End Focus) to design and deliver intuitive, scalable, and secure applications that bring this vision to life.

What you’ll do

• Build and maintain analytics and insight tools with a strong emphasis on user-facing web experiences.
• Develop data processing and analytics features for new data streams, using platform services managed by our Platform Engineering team.
• Take ownership of the full lifecycle: design, build, test, deploy, and operate.
• Ensure the web stack is modern, accessible, secure, and scalable (React, TypeScript, GraphQL/REST).
• Collaborate closely with Product Owners, Designers, and Platform engineers to align on priorities, create intuitive interfaces, and integrate data pipelines.
• Apply best practices in accessibility, performance, testing, and maintainability.
• Explore new ways to embed AI-driven analysis and real-time telemetry into the products.
• Use AI tooling to accelerate development, improve efficiency, and focus more time on solving meaningful problems.

What you’ll bring

• Solid experience as a full stack engineer, ideally with strong front-end expertise (React, TypeScript, Next.js).
• Understanding of back-end integration and data pipelines, including data processing and analytics.
• Practical knowledge of API design and consumption (GraphQL, REST), schema/codegen, and caching strategies.
• Awareness of design systems, accessibility standards, and performance optimisation.
• Experience with testing techniques across the stack.
• Comfort using modern AI development tools to speed up coding, testing, and problem-solving.
• Curiosity and drive to work with streaming data, telemetry, and AI-powered analytics.
• A collaborative mindset, thriving in cross-functional teams.

Nice to Have

• Advanced front-end performance and UX: real-time analytics interfaces, anomaly detection dashboards, or high-volume visualisations (time-series data, virtualization, WebGL/Canvas, D3).
• Performance optimisation: profiling and caching strategies to improve web app efficiency.
• Security-minded development: applying modern security standards (OIDC/OAuth2, RBAC, CSP, Trusted Types, secure WASM integration).
• Data and AI workflows: experience with streaming data pipelines, anomaly detection systems, or applying AI/ML models to telemetry data.
• Dev experience improvements: contributing to design systems, CI/CD automation, or using AI coding assistants to boost productivity.

Location and requirements

Where you’ll work: main office in Oslo, Norway, with remote options for the right candidate. Ideally located in Germany, the UK, or Lithuania, or other European locations with travel to Oslo and Lithuania.
