A leading player in international sports technology is seeking a Lead Node.js Developer to guide a dedicated development team in delivering high-performance web applications. These systems support real-time results for global sporting events such as the Olympics and World Cups.

Responsibilities

• Lead and mentor a team of 2 Node.js developers in the design and delivery of scalable, cloud-native systems.
• Architect backend services and APIs with a focus on performance, reliability, and maintainability.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver exceptional user experiences.
• Promote and implement best practices in software development, testing, deployment, and documentation.

Your Profile

• 8+ years of professional software development experience.
• 4+ years of hands-on development with Node.js and Express .
• Degree in Software Engineering, Computer Science, or related field.
• Proven experience building and maintaining cloud-based systems (e.g., Azure , AWS ).
• Strong understanding of CI/CD pipelines , automated testing, and DevOps practices.
• Excellent communication and leadership skills.
• Ability to work effectively under pressure in a high-performance environment.

Nice to have

• Experience with frontend frameworks, ideally Vue.js .
• Previous experience with or willingness to work in C#/.NET environments.
• Understanding of Agile methodologies.
• German: Advantageous
