We are looking for a Product Definition & Application Engineer. As a core member in the technical marketing team, you will collaborate with our R&D and Marketing teams, but also be in contact with major OEMs and Tier 1s to support the development and go-to-market of our future products



In your new role, you will:
• Lead the product definition and define next generations of our AC/DC and DC/DC power supply controllers with a focus on auxiliary power supplies
• Capture product requirements based on application trends and customer feedback (OEMs, Tier 1s) with a focus on automotive applications
• Actively contribute to the product roadmap in close collaboration with the product marketing team
• Create product-related collaterals like datasheets, application notes, whitepapers, and customer presentations to support the technical promotion of our next-generation automotive products
• Work in close collaboration with other cross-functional teams for new product ideas and product definition (IC design, product marketing, automotive product lines)
• Provide technical leadership in power supply applications and be able to guide junior engineers


You are best equipped for this task if you have:
• A master’s degree or PhD in Electrical Engineering, Physics, or similar studies
• More than 10 years of professional experience in power electronics and AC/DC and DC/DC power supplies
• At least 5 years of professional experience in technical marketing or similar positions for power electronics applications, preferably in automotive power
• Proven expertise on IC product level and system level; especially comprehensive knowledge of SMPS topologies and control methods, with a focus on isolating topologies like Flyback, and semiconductor devices
• Fundamental knowledge of the IC design level, including partitioning of functional blocks
• Expertise in System Simulation (e.g., Simetrix, Spice, PLECS, SIMPLIS)
• Excellent communication and networking skills, especially in leading and structuring technical discussions with customers and internal experts
• Willingness to travel occasionally
