Senior Consultant | Semiconductor, Automotive Tech, Embedded Systems, Software Engineering, C-Suite

We’re supporting a fast-growing SaaS scale-up in Munich to hire a hands-on Team Lead for R&D/Software Development. You’ll guide a small, agile engineering team, set technical direction, and build cloud-native features that leverage AI to deliver real value to business users. This is a mix of leadership and coding—you’ll shape architecture, mentor engineers, and still ship high-quality code.

What you’ll do

• Own technical direction and architecture; evaluate and select strategic technologies with your team.
• Lead, coach, and grow a high-performing R&D team; foster a culture of quality, learning, and ownership.
• Design and deliver new product capabilities end-to-end; fix bugs and improve performance; refactor legacy components when needed.
• Use AI services and techniques (e.g., LLMs/ML APIs) with business data to implement impactful use cases responsibly.
• Collaborate closely with Product Management to turn strategy into a clear roadmap and incremental deliveries.
• Champion engineering best practices: clean code, testing, code reviews, CI/CD, observability, and security by design.
• Work within Scrum ceremonies (planning, reviews, retros) and continuously improve team flow and velocity.
• Contribute hands-on code (primarily C#/.NET with relational databases/SQL).

What you’ll bring

• 5+ years professional software development experience and 2+ years in a leadership or tech-lead role.
• Proven experience building and operating SaaS applications at scale.
• Strong skills in C#/.NET , relational databases , and SQL ; confident making pragmatic architectural decisions.
• Experience applying AI to business problems (e.g., insights, automation, recommendations) using company data.
• Excellent communication, stakeholder management, and a leadership mindset with a bias for action.
• Solid grasp of agile/Scrum delivery and modern software engineering practices.
• Fluent English (spoken & written). German fluency is a plus.
• A relevant degree in Computer Science/Software Engineering (or equivalent experience) is an advantage.
• Front-end experience with Angular (or a modern equivalent).
• Familiarity with Azure DevOps and cloud-native delivery on Azure.
• Exposure to microservices, event-driven systems, and domain-driven design.
