We have partnered with a leading player in the insurance sector as they look to strengthen their legal function in Germany and expand operations across Europe.

To support this growth, we are seeking to appoint a Legal Director who will advise on a broad range of German legal matters, including complex regulatory issues.

Responsibilities

• Advise on a broad range of German legal matters, including complex regulatory issues.
• Contribute to building and strengthening the legal function within the European expansion.
• Provide strategic legal input and operate with a high degree of autonomy.
• Direct reporting line to the Executive Board and collaboration with senior leadership.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of PQE
• Full admission as a German lawyer (both state exams)
• Strong exposure to the insurance/re-insurance sector
• Ideal: significant exposure to regulatory issues, dealing with BaFin, Solvency II, etc.
• International exposure
