    Description of the task:
    We’d love to hear about your personal journey with non-alcoholic beverages. When recording your video, bring us along for the ride—show us your shopping process and, most importantly, share how you feel every step of the way!

    Please visit one of the assigned to you retailers below:
    • Hypermarkets: Kaufland, Globus, Edeka Scheck-in Center, Marktkauf
    • Supermarkets: Tegut, Edeka Markt
    • Small Supermarkets: E Xpress, Markant, Nah & Frisch, Nahkauf
    • Discounters: Aldi, Lidl
    • Please do not choose the store yourself — videos made at other retailers will not be accepted.

    Before the visit:
    Ø Please read instructions before your visit and consider printing them to ensure you answer all required questions during your recording.
    Ø For the purpose of this project, please consider non-alcoholic beverages to include the following four groups of products. They are divided into 4 categories (A,B,С and D) with two groups products in each. Please, film two separate videos with each product which assigned to you!
    Ø Please make sure that you cover a different product group in each video.

    Category D:
    • Functional/Sports Drinks – drinks designed to help with hydration, energy, or recovery, often used in sports or fitness contexts. Example: Gatorade, Powerade, or electrolyte drinks.
    • Energy Drinks – beverages containing stimulants like caffeine, taurine, and sugar to boost energy. Example: Red Bull, Monster, Rockstar.

    Tips on Recording a Video:
    • We want to see what you see. Keep your camera pointed towards the aisle - do not record a selfie video.
    • We want to hear what you're thinking. Narrate your shopping process as you shop.
    • Make sure you read through all of the instructions below before recording your video.
    • Do not pause/ stop recording the video in between and do not even edit your video.
    • We recommend that you print out the instructions and take them with you when you visit the store, so that you can accurately answer ALL the questions that are in the instructions.

    During your shopping trip:
    1. Before you start recording, make sure to take a shopping basket or cart. Don`t remove items from your cart while filming a video.
    2. No purchase is required. You need to imagine that you came to the store to make purchases.
    3. Please start recording video as you enter the store and shop for non-alcoholic beverages as you normally would. At the beginning of your video, please state the name of the retailer you are shopping in today.
    • If you see any displays or signs that catch your eye and that you would normally stop at, please include them in your video.
    IMPORTANT: When you take a product from the shelf and mention that you plan to buy it today, you MUST place the product in your shopping basket, not back on the shelf.

    List of questions:
    IMPORTANT: You must answer the full set of questions for each of the two selected products in two separate videos.
    Starting your story by telling us all about the journey that brought you here to shop for non-alcoholic beverages today:
    1. Do you have a child/children with you today? Are you shopping for them on this trip? [ONLY IF YOU HAVE CHILDREN]
    2. Which brands or types of non-alcoholic beverages are you considering for purchase today? What spoke to you about these options?
    3. How was your experience finding the products you are looking for? (Positive, Neutral, or Negative) Why do you feel this way?
    4. How was your experience navigating the category in the aisle/on the shelf? Why do you feel this way?
    5. How do you feel about the assortment of products offered? (Positive, Neutral, or Negative) Please explain why.
    6. As you walk through the section, tell us your thoughts on how the products you are looking for are organized within this section. What do you think about the layout and organization? (Positive, Neutral, or Negative) Please explain why.
    7. Is there anything you think would make shopping for non-alcoholic beverages in-store even better?
    8. While shopping in-store for non-alcoholic beverages, do you typically do research online? For example, checking product availability, comparing prices, etc.?
      Ø If so, please let us know what app(s)/site(s) you visit and why. Please also explain what information you are looking for that you couldn’t find instore.
    9. Will you be purchasing any non-alcoholic beverages today? (YES or NO)
      Ø If YES, please show us what and tell us why you are purchasing this. For each non-alcoholic beverage product that you buy, tell us how you or your household will be consuming it (i.e. what time of day, where, who will be consuming, by itself or paired with a meal/snack, how often will you consume, etc.)
      Ø If NO, please tell us why you are not purchasing anything and what you plan to do next (e.g., go to another retailer in-store or online, wait for sale or product to be restocked, shop online, etc.)
    Reminder! We can only accept your video if you’ve answered all of the questions above.

    Feedback Guidelines:
    • Submit the questionnaire along with video as proof within 8 hours after your visit to the store.
    • Please ensure the video is recorded in the local language.
    • Remain available for 5 days after submitting your survey for any follow-up questions.

    Artifacts:
    1. 2 videos with the products. In them you MUST answer all the questions.
    Ø Please do not combine both products in a single video.

    Your visit will NOT be paid if:
    • You reveal yourself as a Mystery Shopper or show confusion about the task.
    • You did not state the name of store at the beginning of the video.
    • You recorded items which do not fit into the categories of goods indicated above
    • You missed answering any required questions in the video.
    • Required artifact is missing.
    • The video was recorded in a language other than the local one.
    • The survey was submitted more than 8 hours after the visit.
    • You did not respond to our follow-up request (email/text) within 4 hours if clarification or documents were needed.
