Derzeit suchen wir zur Erweiterung unseres Service-Teams in Dresden zwei kompetente Linux-Systemadministratoren (m/w/d) in Vollzeit und vor Ort.

Häufig arbeiten wir eng mit Wissenschaftlern zusammen, um deren Forschungsanforderungen gerecht zu werden.

Your Responsibilities

• Support, implement and maintain general Linux-based infrastructure services as part of a team
• Support, implement and maintain monitoring and security solutions such as firewalls and intrusion detection
• Support, implement and maintain Linux-based scale-out storage and backup systems
• Support, implement and maintain virtualization services such as VMWare, Proxmox and Docker
• Suggest improvements on processes and procedures
• Work closely with scientists to help design systems and structures to meet their research needs

Training and support will be available to help the candidate expand their skill set and learn more about the technology areas they are interested in.

Your Profile

• University degree or equivalent in IT-related or scientific discipline – or a good explanation why your chosen career path provides equivalent skills
• Minimum of 3 years of experience in Linux system administration
• Basic Linux scripting knowledge
• Networking and IT security knowledge and experience
• Must be living in or willing to relocate to Germany
• Open-mindedness and willingness to experience other cultures are a plus
• Fluent in German and English with excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Ability to work in a team
• Willingness to participate in provided training for career development
