Logistics Specialist

Jinko ESS team is looking for a Logistics Specialist in EU to support the supply chain area. Join our incredible team!

The Logistics Specialist is responsible for coordinating the logistics and supply chain process for Europe. This role involves working with internal and external stakeholders, managing documentation, providing information, and coordinating deliveries based on agreed incoterms. Providing transparent status updates on deliveries and projects is key. The specialist negotiates tariffs with external providers and keeps the local Project team and Sales team updated on delivery schedules, logistics costs, and any important information affecting daily business.

Position Tasks and Activities

Task 1: Inventory and Reporting

  • To be responsible for monthly inventory management and cost review and analysis.
  • To provide timely and accurate reports to Europe team and HQ logistics.
  • To archive in cloud all relevant documents / contracts, with Sales Support and Logistics access.

Task 2: Project Control

  • To provide to sales team accurate logistics quotes and input logistics cost for sales opportunities in CMR system timely.
  • To deal with logistics inquiries and any related issue for orders from Sales, Sales support and SOC; and tasks from Global Logistics team & local Logistics Manager.
  • To handle enquiries by customers about deliveries schedule.
  • To follow the availability dates "Ready date" of the contract and confirm to the customer.
  • To send documents to the customer by courier system when is needed.
  • To assist Sales Managers in meetings to support with operational issues and/or another questions that customer has. (import workflow, clarifying customer doubts)
  • To review contracts for Europe projects and provide logistics solutions.

Task 3: Logistics

  • To coordinate with forwarder to make sure delivery to customer.
  • To participate in local coordination meetings with sales team and project customers to analyze and determine the work plan for projects delivery schedules and supply chain structure.
  • To prepare all documents related to the deliveries and share with Sales Support and customers.
  • To handle logistics daily operation including shipping plan & tracing; tracking shipping lines websites and any updates in ETD and ETA.
  • To follow up of the return of empty containers and support in case of any inconvenience with it.
  • To communicate with the agent freight forwarder, freight forwarder in China and SOC, evaluating better alternatives for shipment, such as partial shipment, change of shipment port with a better vessel agenda. (CIF)
  • To participate in DAP Project quotations, including meeting with customers, design transportation solution, contract review, negotiation with carrier and general order management.
