Job Description:

We are looking for a China-based compliance and electronics specialist with hands-on experience in LVD (Low Voltage Directive) and EMC (Electromagnetic Compatibility) requirements for the EU market.




Our goal:

We need to make our pet water fountain fully compliant with EU regulations, especially passing the LVD & EMC test. The product has already been through testing but failed due to two main issues:

1. Battery problem – The current 4500mAh battery was not IEC-certified. This issue will be solved as we will replace it with a certified 5000mAh IEC battery.
2. EMC test failure – Likely caused by components such as the motor/pump, PCB (control board), or wiring.



What we need from you:

• Receive a sample of the product (we will ship it to you in China).
• Inspect the unit thoroughly and identify which components must be modified, replaced, or shielded in order to pass EMC testing.
• Provide a clear technical recommendation/report on what exact changes are required (e.g., motor filters, capacitors, ferrite beads, PCB adjustments, etc.).
• Advise us on the most efficient way to make the product LVD & EMC compliant for EU certification.



Requirements:

• Must be based in China (to receive and inspect the product quickly).
• Strong knowledge of LVD/EMC regulations and testing standards.
• Experience with consumer electronics, pumps, motors, or similar products.
• Ability to provide a clear action plan to solve EMC/LVD issues.
• Bonus: Experience working with Chinese factories and test labs.



Deliverables:

• Inspection and full analysis of the product.
• Written report on which parts/components must be changed to pass EMC.
• Recommendation for compliant replacements.



Additional Information:

• The sample you receive will already include the new IEC-certified 5000mAh battery.
• You will mainly need to analyze the motor, pump, PCB, wiring and identify the root cause of EMC interference.
• This is a paid project with opportunity for long-term cooperation if successful.



Budget:

💰 To be discussed depending on experience (fixed price preferred, milestone-based possible).
