CASTING FOR MAIN MALE PROTAGONIST - Ways of Seeing Things (No Budget / Film School Project)

I am looking for a passionate and talented actor who is aiming to gain more experience and credits by working on an ambitious and challenging project.

Ways of seeing things is a psychological analysis about loneliness in the style of Robert Östlund: beautiful scenarios, much acting, social experiments and dramatic comicity.

Synopsis

A series of episodes following Alex, a 25-year-old, on the autistic spectrum and Iris, 25, who has frequent appearance of psychosis. Each episode of the story explores the theme of misunderstanding in social relationships—how easily we judge others by appearances and how often those judgments lead to false assumptions. Alex and Iris experience this dynamic from both sides: they are misjudged, but they also fall into the same trap themselves. This cycle of distorted perception isolates them further from the world around them.

The journey culminates in a final scene inside an acting class, where a group of young people is pushed to confront their vulnerabilities. Stripped of their mask they have to face uncomfortable but fundamental questions: Are you truly happy with your life? What would you need to improve it? What are you most afraid of?

ALEX

Alex is a 25-year-old from England. He is on the autism spectrum for which he is perfectly capable to speak, understand and interact with people. However, he suffers from great anxiety, control mania, obsessions and is unable to establish a normal life. He has already tried several times to undertake study or work paths and has always failed with great suffering. Alex is mostly alone, besides his parents. He does not have a girlfriend, he actually has never had one. His greatest passion is drawing in which he manages to find moments of comfort. He loves to draw animals who destroy humans and their objects. He is now attending the first year of fine arts in an art academy.
