Overview

The Manager, Global Sustainability at AIT Worldwide Logistics will be instrumental in formulating and executing sustainability strategies, focusing on decarbonization across air, ocean, and ground transportation. This role will lead environmental initiatives and collaborate with customers to support their sustainability goals.

Responsibilities

• Execution of Decarbonization Strategies: Collaborate with carriers to implement initiatives aimed at reducing emissions across various transportation modes. Design and launch commercial programs to support these efforts.
• Collaborative Customer Engagement: Partner with clients to identify their sustainability objectives and co-create tailored solutions.
• Integrated Team Collaboration: Work across departments to embed sustainability into core practices. Lead cross-functional initiatives with measurable environmental impact.
• Stakeholder Collaboration and Continuous Improvement: Engage stakeholders to champion sustainability initiatives and foster participation. Use process improvement methodologies to address environmental challenges.
• Sustainability Data Management and Insights: Monitor, analyze, and report on key sustainability metrics and emissions. Integrate ESG considerations into business strategies and translate complex data into actionable insights.
• Sustainability Research and Innovation: Stay informed on emerging technologies, regulations, and best practices. Use advanced tools to monitor logistics operations and minimize environmental impact.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Business Administration, Environmental Science, Biology, Sustainability Studies, or related field.
• 5+ years of experience in sustainability initiatives, environmental compliance, CSR, green building standards (e.g., LEED, WELL), and sustainability reporting frameworks (e.g., GRI, CDP).
• Experience with carbon footprint analysis.
• Familiarity with climate disclosure platforms and sustainability reporting.
• Knowledge of reducing emissions through route optimization, modal shifts, and packaging improvements.
• Implementing recycling, reuse, and waste reduction strategies in logistics.
• Understanding environmental regulations and compliance frameworks.
• Proficiency in tools to track, analyze, and report sustainability metrics.
• Leveraging technology to monitor and reduce environmental impact in logistics operations.
