Description The Manager of the Technical Execution team at Amazon Robotics leads innovations in warehouse automation, overseeing complex robotics systems that revolutionize fulfillment operations. Operating at the intersection of software and hardware, this leader drives architectural decisions that impact millions of robot-supported customer deliveries daily. They mentor engineering teams, translate business needs into technical solutions, and ensure robust system reliability across Amazon's global network. Working with state-of-the-art robotics technology, they balance immediate operational demands with long-term scalability goals. Their decisions directly influence Amazon's ability to maintain its competitive edge in automated fulfillment solutions. Key job responsibilities Key Responsibilities: Drive technical architecture decisions for large-scale robotics systems Develop technical roadmaps aligned with business objectives Manage project deliverables, timelines, and resource allocation Partner with Product, IT, Software, and Hardware teams to define requirements Mentor and develop engineering talent Travel up to 80% is required. About the team The manager leads a team of 6 engineers who will support and manages the projects independently. The team is located in EU but has a global impact. Basic Qualifications Technical Skills: Systems architecture and design Robot Operating System (ROS) CI/CD pipelines Cloud infrastructure (AWS) Performance optimization Real-time systems People skills: lead a international team Preferred Qualifications Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Robotics, or related field 5+ years of engineering management experience Deep understanding of distributed systems and robotics Track record of delivering large-scale technical projects The role is a deployment role what requires more deployment experience at construction sites as software development experience.
