Overview

Process Digitalisation Lead - Manufacturing Engineering. Our client is seeking a hands-on professional to lead process digitalisation within the manufacturing engineering team. This role combines technical leadership with practical implementation across planning systems, lean methods, and production tools.

Role Overview

Freelance (AUG/ANÜ)
Location: Munich (Leipzig onboarding possible)
Contract Length: 15 months
Rate: Up to €40 per hour = €83,200 per annum

You\'ll be responsible for guiding a small team in setting up digital tools and systems that support efficient aircraft production. The focus is on process mapping, system integration, and lean manufacturing principles.

Key Responsibilities

Lead the setup of digitalisation tools and methods for manufacturing engineering
Map value streams and production processes across the full workflow
Implement planning software (DELMIA) and integrate SAP processes
Develop time study systems (e.g. MTM) and support lean manufacturing initiatives
Contribute to building an end-to-end product delivery process
Support the rollout of a structured production system for Deutsche Aircraft

Requirements

Knowledge of process mapping (SIPOC, EPK), moderation, and process analysis
Experience with time management systems (MTM, performance rating, allowance times)
Solid understanding of SAP production planning, 3DX-SAP interface, EWM, and PEO
Familiarity with DELMIA structure and its interaction with SAP
Good grasp of lean philosophy and systems thinking
Fluent English required; German not a requirement, only a bonus
Valid police clearance certificate required (nationality restrictions may apply)

Additional Details

Working hours: Day shift, Monday to Friday
Optional home office on Fridays
Primary location: Gilching (Leipzig candidates must onboard in Gilching for ~8 weeks)
