Job Overview

Reporting to the Operations Manager, the Marine Field Service Engineer is responsible for providing on-site technical support, maintenance, installation, and repair services for a company's products or equipment at customer locations.

Location : Germany, Remote from Germany or Europe.

Responsibilities

• Provide high level technical support to customers, handle warranty requests and respond to customer questions and queries.
• Perform hands‑on commissioning, troubleshooting, service, and repair at customer site.
• Provide on‑site /hands‑on equipment training to customers.
• Create field service reports and maintain service information in the company enterprise database.
• Timely and professionally handle all field service calls, follow up on all arising issues from the field service visits and timely complete and submit all required paperwork/reports.
• Communicate with the customer to ensure satisfaction and implement any necessary corrective actions.
• Prepare the service and repair reports.
• Provide emergency/unscheduled repairs of production equipment during production and performs scheduled maintenance repairs of production equipment during machine service.
• Perform mechanic skills including, but not limited to, mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, hydraulic, troubleshooting and repair of production machines.
• Diagnose problems, replace or repair parts, test and make adjustments.
• Use a variety of hand and power tools, electric meters and material handling equipment in performing duties.
• Detect faulty operations, defective material and report those and any unusual situations to proper supervision.
• Comply with safety regulations and maintain clean and orderly work areas.
• Help and support skid installation as an assembler at turbo shop floor per their scope.
• Perform hands‑on commissioning, troubleshooting, service, and repair of cryogenic pumps and related equipment for the LNG and industrial gases industries upon request.

Qualifications

• Experience with cryogenic equipment; experience with gas turbines and pumps would be a plus.
• Bachelor’s degree or technical certificate in the related field.
• Experience at working both independently and in a team‑oriented environment is essential.
• Technically competent with mechanics and knowledge of mechanical parts.
• Can adapt to shifting priorities, demands and timelines.
• Ability to travel freely in the Middle East as well as internationally as needed.
• Ability to communicate with customers at all levels.
• Technical mindset combined with a high degree of customer orientation.
• Communicates clearly and effectively.
• Well‑versed in technical aspects of field projects, including rotating machinery and equipment.
• Organized self‑starter with the ability to proactively plan their daily work schedule.
• High energy level with Right‑from‑me attitude.
• Fluent spoken and written English skills are required.
