Support the ‘Mechanical Systems and Products Germany’ department by working on your final year project. This role offers a unique opportunity to explore the work of a structural analysis engineer, based at the Friedrichshafen site.

Your Tasks and Responsibilities

• Create Finite Element (FE) models of satellite structures, instruments, or components, adhering to department standards.
• Conduct various structural analyses including static, vibration, vibro-acoustic, and thermoelastic distortion analyses.
• Perform structural assessments using hand calculations.
• Develop tools in Matlab or Hypermesh scripting for analysis automation.
• Prepare technical documentation in English or German.

Desired Skills and Qualifications

• Enrolled Master student in aerospace engineering, mechanical engineering, or related field.
• Understanding of structural dynamics and finite element analysis, with experience in Hypermesh and MSC Nastran preferred.
• Proficiency in signal processing and programming, especially with Matlab.
• Experience with Windows and UNIX systems and standard office tools.
• First experience with vibro-acoustic analyses is advantageous.
• Ability to work independently and in teams, with strong communication skills.
• Fluent in English; German is a plus.
