MEMS Architect & Data Specialist Acoustic (f/m/div.)

We are Bosch Sensortec GmbH, a technology leader in sensing solutions based on MEMS for consumer electronics. We develop key technologies for smartphones, wearables, IoT and related devices. We are looking for a highly motivated and creative engineer to contribute to the integration and characterization of acoustic transducers in complex MEMS systems and to develop new data-driven applications for intelligent MEMS sensors and actuators.

Responsibilities

• Act as the Sensor Architect and be the project interface for MEMS design, characterization and qualification, data engineering, application-specific integrated circuits, and system integration.
• Analyze measurement data from transducers to understand their behavior and guide data exploration and analysis based on transducer design knowledge.
• Collaborate with laboratory colleagues to analyze characterization and qualification data, derive insights on transducer performance and reliability, and communicate findings with interpretation, modeling, and mathematical evaluation to identify design and testing improvements.
• Understand use cases and sub-components of an acoustic system, including packaging and embedded software.
• Contribute to the development and introduction of new data analysis strategies, collaborating with internal and external strategic departments to align with business objectives and drive innovation in sensor technology.

Qualifications

• Interdisciplinary understanding and communication skills; customer-oriented with a creative and entrepreneurial mindset; strong ability to work across disciplines.
• Independent, goal-oriented work style; analytic, structured, and organized approach.
• Deep knowledge of system testing, MEMS components and measurement systems; several years of experience in MEMS design, MEMS characterization, system integration or measurement systems; proficiency in data analysis using statistical software (e.g., Python) and experience with SQL or similar querying languages is desirable.
• Fluent English (C1) and advanced German (B2) is a plus.
• Educational background: M.Sc./Dipl. in Electrical Engineering, Mechatronics, Physics, Microsystems Engineering, Mechanical Engineering or a related field; PhD with relevant experience is welcome.
