Mobile App Developer

Own and scale the mobile app experience for a fast-growing European marketplace.

HiCareer is supporting a remote-first marketplace company in hiring a Mobile App Developer. The company connects buyers and sellers across Europe, with a strong focus on creating a seamless digital experience. Mobile is their fastest-growing channel — and now they need someone who can design, build, and optimise their iOS and Android app for scale.

You’ll join a product & engineering team of ~12 people, working closely with designers and backend developers. The team values shipping fast, using AI-assisted tooling to speed up development, and learning directly from user feedback.




📱 What You’ll Do

• Develop and maintain cross-platform mobile apps using React Native & TypeScript
• Collaborate with design and backend teams to build smooth, reliable user experiences
• Optimise app performance, stability, and usability across iOS and Android
• Integrate REST/GraphQL APIs and payment systems
• Use AI-powered development tools to accelerate delivery and testing
• Contribute to the design system and reusable components for faster iteration



🚀 What Success Looks Like in 6 Months

• A refreshed version of the mobile app launched with improved performance and UX
• At least one major customer-facing feature shipped end-to-end
• Automated testing and monitoring set up to improve reliability
• Faster iteration cycles thanks to AI-assisted workflows



✅ What They’re Looking For

• 3+ years of experience in mobile app development
• Strong proficiency in React Native & TypeScript (Flutter or native iOS/Android a plus)
• Experience integrating APIs and third-party services (e.g. payments, analytics)
• Familiar with app store deployment and best practices for mobile UX
• Open to using AI tools to improve speed, code quality, and developer productivity
• Fluent in English; comfortable working in a distributed, async-first team
