We Are Hiring: Modem Expert / NAD Engineer

Tasks:

Expert consulting services in the field of modems
Analysis of traces and prioritization of bug tickets
Creation of concepts and specifications
Technical evaluation of requirements
Tracking the development progress of suppliers
Design of modem hardware and software architecture
Participation and expert consulting in the creation of "state-of-the-art" solution architectures in the context of modems
Expert consulting on the future development of "state-of-the-art" modem architectures/solutions
Expert advice in the area of 3GPP standards
If applicable, expert consulting in the design of Non-Terrestrial Networks (NTN)
Support for end-to-end (E2E) validation
Coordination with relevant stakeholders (brands, departments, development partners, development and device suppliers, etc.)

Requirements:

Extensive expertise in modem baseband hardware (HW) and software (SW) architecture, with comprehensive knowledge of RF components and their integration.
Experience in designing HW TCU architecture and communication interfaces
Deep understanding of 3GPP standards across all generations, including 5G NR, LTE, UMTS (3G), and GSM (2G), covering protocols from the Application Layer down to the Physical Layer.
Proven experience in wireless system testing, certification processes, interoperability testing (IOT), and optimizing cellular system performance.
Expert in antenna architecture design, including requirements to certification standards and regulatory compliance for global markets.
Specialized in non-terrestrial network (NTN) satellite communication architecture, ensuring seamless integration with terrestrial networks.
Proficient in benchmarking telematics control units (TCUs) against industry leaders (e.g. Rivian, Tesla, and BYD), ensuring competitive performance.
Strong background in embedded software verification, as well as expertise in ASIC architecture and FPGA integration for RF components.
