Network Systems Engineer – Hybrid (Munich, Germany)

Contract Duration: 12 months (with potential for extension)

Are you an experienced Network Systems Engineer looking for your next long‑term opportunity in a dynamic, high‑tech environment? We’re seeking a proactive and hands‑on professional to join our team in Munich to support critical IT infrastructure across network, systems, and production environments.

This hybrid role requires a strong technical background, excellent communication skills, and the ability to work both independently and as part of a global team.

• Oversee and manage campus Wi‑Fi, routing, switching, and firewalls
• Act as the primary on‑site IT contact for users and stakeholders, working closely with remote/global IT teams
• Provide hands‑on support for network infrastructure, servers, client systems, and production tools
• Manage day‑to‑day IT operations, including provisioning, deployment, patching, and incident resolution
• Perform basic network troubleshooting (TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, routing) and cascade as needed
• Support and maintain Windows and Linux/Unix servers, ensuring optimal performance and security
• Participate in system monitoring, endpoint protection, and inventory control
• Ensure compliance with cybersecurity standards and support security initiatives (vulnerability remediation, endpoint management)
• Assist with IT asset management, documentation, and audit readiness for local systems

Required Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in IT, Computer Science, Engineering, or equivalent hands‑on experience
• 3–5+ years of IT support or system administration experience in a high‑tech or production environment
• Strong understanding of networking fundamentals (TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, routing, switching, and campus networking components)
• Experience with Windows and Linux/Unix systems, scripting, and troubleshooting
• Familiarity with endpoint security, patch management, and hardening practices
• Experience managing third‑party service providers or contractors
• Excellent problem‑solving, organizational, and communication skills (English required)
• Ability to work independently in a fast‑paced, production‑sensitive environment
• Proficiency with ITSM platforms (e.g., ServiceNow), remote tools, and documentation best practices
• Bonus: Experience with factory environments, including MES, ERP, or production data systems
