Work Schedule: 10-month faculty schedule, Monday-Friday, salaried position. Requires travel to clinical sites.

Job Summary

WHITE MOUNTAINS COMMUNITY COLLEGE NURSING FACULTY (INSTRUCTOR / ASSISTANT PROFESSOR / ASSOCIATE PROFESSOR / PROFESSOR) – FULL-TIME, EFFECTIVE 1/8/2026.

Salary by Faculty Level: INSTRUCTOR: $49,383 - $57,639; ASSISTANT PROFESSOR: $53,265 - $62,374; ASSOCIATE PROFESSOR: $57,639 - $67,546; PROFESSOR: $65,207 - $77,041.

Responsibilities

  • Teach program-related courses in the Nursing area (e.g., Nursing I–IV, and other courses as assigned).
  • Prepare instructional materials that integrate theory with applications and clearly outline course and program goals and requirements, complying with established content.
  • Establish sound classroom practices and manage diverse academic needs; maintain accessibility to assist students.
  • Observe academic policies, institutional rules, and regulations.
  • Oversee student learning activities and progress; maintain accurate records and communicate progress to students.
  • Participate in departmental operations, attend meetings, maintain equipment and spaces, requisition instructional materials, and contribute to course and program reviews; maintain contact with nursing industry.
  • Engage in recruitment and retention activities, including admissions events, orientations, and student activities.
  • Remain current in nursing through professional activities and associations; utilize instructional technologies as required.
  • Demonstrate ethical and professional behavior; serve on college or system committees as assigned.
  • Comply with all applicable rules and regulations.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Minimum Qualifications

Education: Master’s degree in nursing from a regionally accredited college or university.

Experience: Teaching experience in nursing (2 years) or 2 years related experience in the field.

License/Certification: Current or active RN license in New Hampshire; CE requirements to maintain licensure; valid driver’s license or access to transportation.

Recommended Work Traits: Knowledge of teaching methods, nursing content, and instructional technologies; ability to work collaboratively; strong record-keeping and professional attitude; maintain professional appearance.

Assistant Professor Level – Additional Duties

Scope of Work: Educate students and assist in departmental activities supporting the college mission; report to Department Chair of Nursing.

Accountabilities:

  • Teaches Nursing I–VI and other courses; develops instructional materials; aligns with accreditation standards.
  • Supervises student learning and maintains progress records; supports student accessibility.
  • Assists in program/course development and articulation initiatives; maintains equipment and spaces.
  • Participates in recruitment/retention activities and stays current in nursing education.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Minimum Qualifications: Master’s degree in nursing; 3 years of nursing teaching experience or related experience.

License/Certification: RN license in NH; driver’s license or transportation.

Recommended Work Traits: Broad teaching knowledge; ability to supervise and collaborate; maintain comprehensive student records; professional demeanor.

Associate Professor Level – Additional Duties

Scope of Work: Educate and assist in curricula development, student advisement, evaluation, and departmental initiatives; report to Nursing Department Chair.

Accountabilities:

  • Teaches Nursing I–IV; develops curricula and instructional materials; promotes critical thinking and diverse needs.
  • Maintains accessibility to assist students; advises and exercises professional judgment.
  • Coordinates department activities, articulations, and industry relationships; leads equipment and materials requisitions.
  • Assists in recruitment/retention activities and college-community engagement; stays current in nursing education.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Minimum Qualifications: Master’s degree in nursing; 5 years teaching experience or equivalent (including supervision/administration).

Recommended Work Traits: Thorough knowledge of teaching methods, substantial knowledge of the field, and ability to lead programs; collaborative and professional mindset.

Professor Level – Additional Duties

Scope of Work: Lead development and implementation of departmental activities; provide leadership and coordination within the Nursing Program; report to the Department Chair.

Accountabilities:

  • Teaches Nursing I–IV and other courses; develops and evaluates curricula; applies accreditation standards.
  • Advances program curricula, life skills, and critical thinking; maintains accessibility for students.
  • Leads and coordinates departmental activities; mentors faculty; cultivates industry partnerships; supports articulation initiatives.
  • Leads recruitment/retention activities and community engagement; stays technologically current.
  • Prepares requisitions; participates in long-range planning; contributes to official college documents.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Minimum Qualifications: Master’s degree in nursing; 6 years of nursing teaching experience with leadership/administration experience or equivalent.
