Open PhD Position in the Area of Software Engineering

We are looking for a PhD candidate to conduct research and development projects in the area of Software Engineering. Areas of specialization may include Web Application Engineering, AI for Software Engineering, Software Engineering for ML, Big Data Architectures, and contributions to teaching and thesis supervision at the Bachelor and Master levels.

Responsibilities

• Engage in research & development projects in Software Engineering.
• Specialize in one of the following areas:
  • Web Application Engineering
  • Model-based Systems Engineering
  • AI for Software Engineering
  • Software Engineering for ML
  • Big Data Architectures
  • Cloud Architectures
• Contribute to Software Engineering teaching at Bachelor’s and Master’s levels.
• Supervise Bachelor and Master theses.

Qualifications

• Master’s degree in Computer Science or a related field.
• Strong theoretical knowledge and practical experience in Software Engineering and your chosen specialization.
• Motivation to build innovative solutions with industrial partners.
• Strong communication skills and ability to lead software development in distributed multicultural teams.
• Advanced English speaking and writing skills.
• At least intermediate German speaking and writing skills.
