Major Roles & Responsibilities

• Mine Planning & Design: Develop and design safe, efficient, and cost-effective mining plans. Determine the most suitable mining methods based on geological data and site conditions.
• Geological Analysis & Resource Evaluation: Conduct geological surveys and feasibility studies to assess mineral deposits. Estimate the quantity, quality, and economic value of resources.
• Safety & Compliance Management: Ensure mining operations meet legal, environmental, and safety regulations. Implement and monitor safety protocols to protect workers and the environment.
• Drilling, Blasting & Extraction Operations: Plan and supervise drilling, blasting, and excavation activities. Select appropriate equipment, materials, and techniques for efficient extraction.
• Equipment & Technology Management: Oversee the selection, operation, and maintenance of mining equipment. Implement modern mining technologies for improved productivity.
• Environmental Management: Monitor and minimize the environmental impact of mining activities. Plan and execute mine reclamation and rehabilitation projects.
• Cost Control & Budgeting: Prepare budgets, monitor expenditures, and optimize resource use. Identify cost-saving measures without compromising safety or quality.
• Project Management & Coordination: Lead and coordinate multidisciplinary teams during mining projects. Liaise with contractors, suppliers, and regulatory authorities.
• Production Monitoring & Optimization: Track production rates, efficiency, and resource utilization. Recommend improvements to increase yield and reduce downtime.
• Reporting & Documentation: Prepare technical reports, safety documentation, and progress updates. Maintain detailed operational records for compliance and auditing purposes.
