As Operations & Finance Manager (f/m/x) , you are the right hand to the Head of Operations & Finance—a high-context, high-ownership generalist who helps run and scale Tanso's internal machine room. You thrive in ambiguity, move between strategic topics and deep operational detail, and bring clarity, speed, and structure to whatever you take on. Whether it's leading a pricing project, building a budget model, rolling out a new system, or coordinating cross-functional initiatives, you do it with precision, intelligence, and impact.
This is a mission-critical role for a high-agency individual who can operate with independence, credibility, and composure. You balance analytical rigor with strong execution and have the range to support across business intelligence, financial management, operational systems, and internal program delivery. Your work creates leverage across the company and enables the leadership team to operate at scale.
How You Succeed
- Drive high-priority projects across departments
- Translate strategic ideas into operational plans and support successful execution
- Independently scope, lead, and deliver internal improvement initiatives
- Support financial planning, forecasting, and budget control across teams
- Help manage vendor contracts, spend transparency, and procurement workflows
- Contribute to investor reporting, cost tracking, and financial narrative building
- Support leadership routines and company-wide updates
- Build strong cross-functional relationships to increase velocity and impact
Responsibilities
- Be the right hand to the Head of Operations & Finance, helping run and scale Tanso's internal machine room

- Drive clarity, speed, and structure in ambiguity with analytical rigor and execution
Qualifications
- 2-4 years of experience in a high-performance environment (e.g., consulting, venture-backed tech, finance, or generalist ops roles)
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills; able to build models, analyze drivers, and synthesize insights
- Exceptionally fast thinker and executor—sees what needs to be done and moves quickly
- Highly structured and organized; able to bring clarity to complexity
- Strong sense of ownership; holds self accountable for results
- Detail-oriented without losing the big picture
- Languages: Fluent in English and German (C1 minimum)
