About The Role

Our Infrastructure team is integrated in the Digital Technology (DT) department.As an OT Systems Engineer, you will ensure the robustness, scalability, and efficiency of the organization’s operational technology systems by designing, implementing, and maintaining secure and reliable solutions that support industrial operations.You will be accountable for:

• Designing, deploying, and managing IT systems supporting industrial activities and systems, like MES solutions and other industrial solutions and tools supporting data integration and smart OT processes.
• Ensuring the reliability, performance, and security of IT systems to support continuous operations.
• Collaborating with operations and IT teams to integrate OT systems with enterprise IT infrastructure.
• Monitoring and optimizing IT systems serving industrial functions for performance and minimal downtime.
• Implementing security measures to protect IT systems serving industrial functions from cyber threats and vulnerabilities.
• Troubleshooting and resolving technical issues within OT environments.
• Developing and maintaining documentation, including system configurations, diagrams, and procedures.
• Conducting regular audits and assessments to ensure compliance with industry standards and regulatory requirements.

We offer a permanent contract based on a hybrid working mode.

About You

Relevant education degree or equivalent in Electrical Engineering, Industrial Automation, Information Technology, or a comparable field.Relevant work experience in OT Systems Management or Industrial IT Engineering.

Competencies:

• Expert in configuration, deployment, and support of IT systems, integrating with OT to ensure seamless operations.
• Deep knowledge of OT protocols and technologies, such as SCADA, DCS, PLCs, and industrial Ethernet, to support critical system functionality.
• Extensive expertise in integrating OT systems with IT networks while maintaining security and operational integrity.
• Advanced proficiency in troubleshooting and optimizing system performance using diagnostic tools and real-time monitoring platforms to ensure continuity.
• Experienced in implementing cybersecurity measures in IT/OT environments.
• Proficient in managing suppliers and stakeholder relationships.
• Holistic familiarity with emerging trends in OT, such as IIoT (Industrial Internet of Things) and edge computing, to drive innovation and scalability.
• Adept at maintaining documentation for IT systems, including configurations, workflows, and troubleshooting guides.

About The Pay And Benefits

Attractive and equitable pay for all: compensation is determined within a range to foster your development in the role. While the primary country (Portugal) base pay reasonably expected for this role is 35 600 euros to 48 700 euros, your salary may ultimately be higher or lower based on your skills and experience. Additionally, we provide a competitive total rewards package that includes a bonus and/or other incentives.
