We are adding a Partner Manager to our team. This role will be based in Berlin, focusing at first on our business in Germany and Austria but with scope for role expansion. You will report directly into the Regional Head of Commercial and will work in a small but motivated team. You will speak fluently German and English; any additional languages are a bonus.

Your Mission

Responsibilities

  • Business Development — build new connections to develop partnerships across all food categories and suppliers
  • Account Management — drive existing partnerships forward with the mission and customer in mind
  • Strategic planning — map a pipeline for specific categories, including stakeholder mapping, supplier analyses and market opportunity sizing
  • Initiate, develop and analyse strategic trials to understand consumer profiles and profitability
  • Portfolio management — negotiate with suppliers to achieve best prices and ranges
  • Delivery of P&L targets by balancing risk and spend, tracking expenditures against projections
  • Contribute to and ensure rollout of segment strategy plans

A Day In The Life Of

  • Balance and deliver to an agreed margin target across suppliers and products
  • Source new suppliers, develop relationships, and review pricing and range for profit and customer experience
  • Manage supplier portfolio with weekly, quarterly and annual reviews to deliver value
  • Make timely, data-driven decisions on inventory and stock holdings
  • Collaborate with demand planning to capitalise on trends and report opportunities and challenges
  • Drive growth with partners through new product categories, international relationships and higher volumes
  • Adhere to SOPs and ensure documentation processes are followed

Requirements

  • Extensive business growth experience with ability to build relationships and develop true partnerships
  • Excellent commercial acumen with experience in P&L, price and promotional modeling
  • Customer-centric approach with ability to develop innovative propositions while keeping customer experience in focus
  • Strong communication skills with ability to lead conversations at all levels
  • Proficient in English and German
  • Based in Berlin
  • Passion for the mission and for raising awareness of food waste and sustainability
  • Analytical mindset with comfort using data to investigate trends
  • Independent yet collaborative, able to work with colleagues globally
  • Experience in the FMCG industry in Buying, Account Management, Category or Business Development
