Aufgaben

• You will work towards a PhD degree as part of the MSCA Doctoral Network "6th Sense" funded by the European Union (
• You will be closely integrated into a European network of other doctoral candidates and organizations working on related topics.
• The PhD degree will be granted by TU Darmstadt, Germany, with planned secondments/research visits at TU Darmstadt and TU Delft.
• Development and evaluation of new concepts and algorithms related to integrated sensing and communication (ISAC) in 6G.
• Focus on multi-modal sensor fusion of ISAC-based sensing with other sensor modalities (e.g., cameras, automotive radars) for improved object detection and perception.
• Exploitation of additional context information (e.g., maps, weather conditions) to further improve sensor fusion.
• Development and implementation of a suitable simulation environment for analyzing and optimizing these approaches.
• Contribution to related proof-of-concept realizations and evaluations.

Profil

• Education: Excellent M.Sc. degree in Telecommunication Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, or similar.
• Experience and Knowledge: Previous experience with cellular communications and/or radar is a plus. Solid software development skills and ideally experience with physical layer simulations. Applicants should not have resided or carried out their main activity (work, studies, etc.) in Germany for more than 12 months in the 36 months immediately before their recruitment date.
• Work Routine: You will be closely integrated into a European network of other doctoral candidates and organizations working on related topics.
• Enthusiasm: Team player who enjoys working in an international environment.
• Languages: Excellent English communication skills.
