Project:

The significance of heat damage for tree mortality due to climate change as a factor independent of drought damage has long been underestimated. In an approved DFG project, we aim to analyze the heat tolerance of important temperate tree species.

Your responsibilities:

  • Independent implementation of the research project under supervision
  • Conducting heat tolerance experiments
  • Measuring chlorophyll fluorescence
  • Conducting drone flights to measure canopy temperatures
  • Evaluating the measurement series, statistical analyses, and publication of the results
  • Pursuing a doctorate as part of the research project is encouraged

Your profile:

  • Applicants should hold a MSc degree in Biology, Ecology, Forest Sciences, Environmental Sciences or a related study program
  • Proficiency in Plant Ecophysiology
  • Willingness to work in the field and in the laboratory
  • Driver's license
  • Statistical knowledge
  • Ability to work independently
  • Ability to cooperate and work in a team

The position is limited to 31. March 2029. The salary will be determined in accordance with TV-L E13.
