Our research focuses on light and matter interaction to advance the foundations and applications of cutting‑edge nano‑ and quantum technologies. We offer a nano‑analytics center par excellence, Laboratory for Emerging Nano Analytics (LENA), equipped with state‑of‑the‑art instrumentation and fostering a highly interdisciplinary research environment.
The project centers on the fabrication and the determination of structure‑property correlations of novel organic dye nano‑systems on surfaces. The primary goal is to control organic and bioorganic functionalities at the atomic scale, utilizing our newly developed scanning tunneling microscopy induced luminescence setup. This world‑leading system achieves the highest photon count rates, operating under vacuum conditions and at cryogenic temperatures.
