Physical Design CAD Expert (m/w/d)

Mobileye EyeC VLSI team - a group designing chips for RADAR systems, from advanced ADAS to Full Autonomous Driving. Our Physical Design group operates in a startup-like environment with respect to technical expertise, execution, and responsibility. Each Physical Design engineer has end-to-end responsibility, from definition, execution, to full sign-offs, working closely with design and architecture teams for constraints development, design review, and RTL modifications to achieve convergence.

We’re looking for a Physical Design CAD Expert to join our growing Technology Methodology & Execution team. This team is responsible for developing technology methodologies and flows for all products and processes, as well as executing complex subsystems/IPs for our next-generation Imaging Radar SoC, from definition to tape-out.

What will your job look like:

• Participate in developing flows and methodologies from synthesis, placement & routing, to all sign-off flows.
• Plan and execute flow releases, coordinate, and track development tasks.
• Explore different methodologies from P&R to sign-off to improve PPA and turnaround time.
• Evaluate new tools, features, and methodologies to bring innovation with significant ROI.
• Take end-to-end ownership of physical design blocks, from synthesis, floorplanning, placement & routing, aiming for optimal PPA.
• Sign off on all domains—STA, IR/EM, physical verification, logic equivalence checking, low power verification.
• Serve as the technical lead, mentoring and guiding team members.

All you need is:

• BSc or MSc in Electrical or Computer Engineering.
• 7+ years of experience in Physical Design.
• Expertise in the entire backend design flow from RTL to tape-out (synthesis, floorplanning, P&R, CTS, STA, EM/IR, chip integration).
• Experience in leading horizontal backend activities.
• Experience in flow development, exploration, and tuning.
• Proficiency with synthesis, P&R, and sign-off on all domains.
• Experience with scripting languages like Tcl, Python, Perl, TCSH, and version control tools.
• Experience with advanced nodes (5nm and below) is a plus.
• Team player with excellent communication skills, customer focus, and a proactive attitude.
