About

As a Physicist in Sales Development (m / f / d) - Photonics you will drive the growth of our sales pipeline by spearheading outbound and inbound lead generation efforts and providing sales support to cultivate relationships. Your mission is to effectively engage with prospects qualify leads to fuel our sales engine and support the sales team throughout various stages of the sales cycle.

You will play a pivotal role in bridging the gap between our industry-leading technology and those who can benefit from it.

Your contribution to our team

Conduct market research to identify high-potential industries companies and decision-makers.

Contact universities and research institutions to get in touch with the relevant people and to build a strong sales pipeline.

Provide actionable insights to improve outreach strategies.

Initiate and maintain meaningful interactions with prospects to build trust and understand their needs.

Collaborate with the sales team to schedule and coordinate calls demos and meetings ensuring a smooth handover of qualified leads.

Maintain accurate records of prospect interactions track pipeline progression and provide regular reports on lead qualification and campaign performance.

Job requirements

Bachelors or Masters degree in Physics Engineering Life Sciences or Materials Science with knowledge of research-driven industries such as Photonics Life Sciences Semiconductors or Quantum Science.

Proven experience in sales development lead generation or a customer-facing role preferably in technical sales or the test & measurement industry.

Very good written and verbal communication skills to convey value propositions effectively.

Strong interpersonal skills for building relationships with prospects.

Strong understanding of sales processes CRM tools (e.g. Hubspot Salesforce) and the ability to research target markets qualify leads and prioritize opportunities effectively.

Goal-driven adaptable team player with a genuine interest in understanding customer needs and delivering tailored solutions.
