Plant Controller (f/m/d)

Baxter International Inc. is looking for a Plant Controller based in Saalfeld. This role drives financial performance and operational efficiency across plant operations.

Responsibilities

• Manage the preparation of annual plant budgets, and provide periodic feedback on performance relative to budget including adjustment measures.
• Coordinate the annual plant standard cost recalculation and variation reporting, and prepare recommendations for action.
• Provide plant and divisions with accurate and timely financial data (margin analysis, margin improvement projects, inventory management, spend controls).
• Evaluate and assess capital spending, CPA/CPJ justifications.
• Partner with plant functions to analyze and support investments and new business initiatives.
• Oversee all plant‑related GAAP, SOX and Baxter policy requirements.
• Plan, prepare and supervise projects.

Education & Work Experience

• Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting or related field. CPA and MBA preferred.
• Demonstrated experience in finance competencies with a minimum of 6–9 years focused on cost and budgeting.
• Background in standard costing, budget management and capital analysis and control.
• Deep knowledge of MS Office and ERP (SAP FI/CO, MM, PP, SAP Analysis for Office).
• Proven track record of identifying and implementing change.
• Excellent communication skills at all organizational levels in formal and informal settings.
• Experience in a global, diverse matrixed organization.
• Ability to execute a business case for change by analyzing and leveraging best practices.
• Ability to manage indirect reporting relationships and maintain a strong presence.
• Experience with Lean concepts and tools (preferred).
