Postdoctoral Researcher (m/f/d) in the field of civil engineering or a comparable field

Responsibilities
- Establishment and implementation of research projects and initiatives on SHM and the reliability assessment of building structures
- Further development of system identification procedures and risk‑based and probabilistic methods
- Development of assessment concepts and expert activities for the assessment of infrastructure structures, in particular bridges and offshore wind farms
Qualifications
- Successfully completed academic university degree (diploma / master’s) in civil engineering, mechanical engineering, or a comparable field
- Excellent dissertation in a relevant subject area with a focus on system identification / reliability assessment in structural engineering
- Experience with service life concepts in structural engineering
- Experience with system identification in structural mechanics
- Experience with Bayesian methods and machine learning approaches desirable
- Proficiency in common computer software
- Good presentation and publication skills
- International networking desirable
- Knowledge of materials technology
- Very good knowledge of load‑bearing structures in the field of bridges and/or wind energy
- Very good verbal and written communication skills in German and English
- Good communication and information behaviour, goal‑oriented and structured way of working, initiative / commitment, ability to work in a team and willingness to cooperate as well as conceptual, strategic and innovative thinking skills
