We are seeking a highly experienced Principal Engineer to lead the development and tuning of advanced brake-by-wire (BbW) and electro-hydraulic braking (EHB) systems.
In this pivotal role, you’ll be at the forefront of innovating braking functions that enhance safety, control, and driver experience in next-generation intelligent vehicles. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams across chassis, powertrain, and autonomous driving domains, contributing to groundbreaking vehicle dynamics integration.
Key Responsibilities
Research, design, and calibrate brake system functionalities including pedal feel characteristics, longitudinal slip control, and stability interventions.Lead integration of Braking and/or BbW systems with other key vehicle systems such as E-Motors, ADAS/ADS, Steer-by-Wire (SbW), and more.Conduct and oversee vehicle-level testing and system calibration to ensure optimal braking performance, system robustness, and driver experience.Use industry-standard tools (e.g., Vector CANape/CANoe, dSPACE, MATLAB/Simulink, C++, VBox, NCode) for system modeling, testing, and verification.Support compliance with functional safety standards (ISO 26262) and cybersecurity regulations relevant to BbW systems.Propose and develop innovative driver-interaction features (e.g., drift mode, donut mode) for next-gen brake interfaces.
Qualifications
Master’s degree or higher in Automotive Engineering, Control Systems, or related discipline.10+ years of experience designing and tuning control systems for Braking or BbW applications.In-depth knowledge of vehicle dynamics, control theory, and chassis systems integration.Demonstrated experience in slip and stability controller tuning across various drive modes.Hands-on proficiency with control algorithm development and system calibration processes.Excellent communication and cross-functional coordination skills.Collaborative mindset and a drive to deliver in a high-paced international environment.Fluency in English; willingness to travel internationally, including regular trips to China (~20%).
If you're ready to shape the future of braking systems and contribute to cutting-edge vehicle innovation, we'd love to hear from you. Please send your CV or any inquiries to [email protected] to explore this exciting opportunity further.
