Job Description

We are seeking a Principal Process Engineer to lead the complex process engineering design assignments, supporting project delivery excellence, and driving innovation within a world-class minerals processing business.

As the Principal Process Engineer, you will be responsible for:

Design Leadership: Lead and coordinate the process design team, ensuring the delivery of high-quality engineering outputs that meet client and project requirements.
Technical Expertise: Resolve technically challenging design problems, define design methods, and ensure compliance with relevant standards and specifications.
Multidisciplinary Collaboration: Interface across engineering, procurement, construction, and commissioning to ensure integrated project delivery.
Quality & Standards: Drive continuous improvement by reviewing and updating standard specifications and drawings.
Client & Commercial Engagement: Support client interface, contribute to technical content of bids, and ensure technical risks are managed.

Qualifications

Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Chemical, Metallurgy, or Process Engineering.
Eligible to hold the professional title of "Ingenieur" or "Ingenieurin" in Germany.
Minimum 15 years of experience in a design, consultancy, or operational engineering environment.
Strong background in minerals processing and chemical plant projects.
Proven leadership in managing technical teams.
Proficiency in MS Office; MS Project is desirable.
