Principal Solutions Engineer


Open to level: Mid level or Lead/Principal


Join early as the first Solutions Engineering hire for this IAM Startup & redefine MFA! Shape & lead the FIRST integrations of their solutions in the real world...


Location: 99% remote welcome, ideally in Europe - travel for things like events, meeting with colleagues sometimes - US & European Territories


Level: Mid or senior welcome - 3+ years of similar experience, OR higher level ('Principal' or 'Lead' with architecture, strategy etc experience) - fast progression to Director of Solutions Engineering or Solutions Architect etc.


Salary: Depends on experience Upto ~€120,000 - happy to discuss

Does this sound like your experience?
• Okta, Auth0, Ping, Forgerock or Entra ID expertise (Ideally certifications)
• Strong technical IAM experience - modern protocols, (SCIM, OAuth etc...), major idp's, implementation patterns, authentication architectures...
• Experience working with or as part of customer-facing technical teams (solutions engineering, professional services, TAM)
• You have technical integration experience (hands on, or leading this) - SDKs / Reference Apps / Middleware in JavaScript. Able to own the architecture and implementation strategy


This will likely suit someone who's worked at a major vendor listed above, at another vendor that has integrations to those Idp's, or in the partner world with the above idp's who could apply themselves to this platform.

You'll likely have been involved in professional services/technical consulting/solutions engineering or something similar. You'll definitely have software development capabilities, but don't necessarily need to be writing code now; you'll be able to architect/design solutions...


What you'll be doing


You'll be the bridge between developers, partners, and enterprise customers.

You'll lead and shape the technical integration of their solutions in to real world identity environments for custom & major Idp's like Okta, Ping, and Entra.

You'll be joining at a key part in their journey over the next few months to reach the goal of completing the first deployments & develop repeatable use cases for their technology by the end of the year.

You'll be hands on because you're the first hire of this kind... but your role can or does go further (depending on your level and goals) blending solution architecture, partner integration strategy, and customer implementation leadership.


Job Description


• Own architecture and implementation strategy for integrating into third-party IAM systems and identity flows
• Work with customers to scope, prototype, and deploy integrations with their identity architecture
• Partner with product and engineering to guide roadmap decisions to increase interoperability across SSO, MFA, and CIAM platforms
• Build and maintain integration templates, reference implementations, and documentation to support scalable deployment
• Lead technical discussions with security architects, solutions engineers, and implementation teams at partner organizations
• Evaluate evolving standards (OIDC, SAML, FIDO, CAEP, OpenTelemetry) and help position them as a native complement
• Contribute to PoC's, SDK enhancements, and developer tooling
• Support GTM with technical validation, RFPs, and architecture reviews for high-value deals
