Principal Statistician (Germany)

We are looking for a Principal Statistician to join our Biometrics & Data Sciences team based in our offices in Brussels (Belgium), Monheim (Germany), Slough (UK), or Atlanta / Raleigh (US).

About the role

You will be a significant contributor to at least one compound indication (or early development compound) in Statistics. You will support as a strong voice for the biometrics (statistics) department within the indication team, supporting the program including development strategy and setting the direction for quantitative analytic innovation and reporting. This is a global role that can be in any stage of development and may involve one or multiple indications or compounds.

Who you'll work with

You will report to a Project Lead Statistician.

What you'll do

• Provide direction to the biometrics (statistics) team at the indication or compound level, or to a team in a specific area (e.g., safety, launch, pre-clinical).
• Influence the translation of strategy into tactical planning, operations, and quality.
• Work closely with the PLS to provide guidance on overall strategy to Development and Regulatory leads.
• Be accountable for all deliverables from the biometrics (statistics) team to the larger project team.
• Contribute to a culture of continuous learning and upskilling within a modern Biometrics organization.
• Support the transformation of the statistics operating model.

Interested? For this position, you'll need the following education, experience, and skills:

• A D. (preferred) in Biostatistics, Statistics, or an equivalent field.
• Robust knowledge in at least one phase of drug development and elementary knowledge of other phases.
• Understanding of how functional expertise contributes to the bigger picture.
• Ability to influence and collaborate within a development team environment.
• Act with a measured sense of urgency and lead through ambiguity.
• Experience in communicating complex quantitative ideas clearly to technical and non-technical personnel at all levels, in local and international settings.
