Process Engineer (f / m / d) for Steam Turbine Auxiliaries

A Snapshot of Your Day

As part of our team, you will be responsible for auxiliaries' systems of steam- / gas turbine and generator, both in research and development and in first‑time application of customer projects. Most days will be different – some days you will focus on development of auxiliary’s systems; on other days you will explain operational topics to internal colleagues, suppliers, or customers. Sometimes you will have to shift your priorities at a moment’s notice to support urgent unplanned work packages such as commissioning tasks or site issue resolution. Either way, you will collaborate with a global cross‑organizational team with diverse technical and cultural backgrounds.

How You’ll Make an Impact

• Responsibility for developing and maintaining the auxiliaries’ systems, as well as for supplier selection, reviews, and execution of the first project
• Qualifying possible suppliers for process engineering components/modules, checking technical feasibility and manufacturing possibilities
• R&D budget and schedule responsibility
• Preparation of standard documents and specifications (incl. drawings, calculation tools, data sheets, system piping & instrumentation diagrams, I&C, etc.)
• Performing cross‑functional interface clarification with internal and external parties (e.g., supplier, customer, engineering network)
• Being part of an inspiring team of engineers in a global team

What You Bring

• Bachelor or Master’s degree in process engineering, mechanical engineering, or a related field
• Professional background in one of the mentioned fields, with a preference for experience in a process industry such as power generation or oil and gas
• Profound knowledge of MS Office
• Very good knowledge of German and English, both written and spoken
• Willingness to jointly develop innovative solutions in interdisciplinary teams
• Analytical attitude and detailed work approach, as well as understanding of customer requirements, concept development, and solution design

Our Gas Services team offers low‑emission power generation through service and decarbonization. Zero or low‑emission power generation and all gas turbines under one roof, steam turbines and generators. Decarbonization opportunities through service offerings, modernization, and digitalization of the fleet.
