Job Description

We are looking for an Engineer who enjoys programming, has a flair for data analysis and has a "customer first, can-do" attitude

Your Responsibilities Will Be

• Conduct detailed data analysis and leverage specific plant knowledge to ensure long-term economical operation of Kanadevia Inova plants, including compliance with guaranteed values and design specifications
• Develop and implement corrective actions, monitor their effectiveness, and prepare comprehensive reports, including root cause and trend analyses
• Optimize operational parameters such as energy consumption, resource usage, and operating times through the creation of advanced analysis tools and algorithms
• Ensure data quality for new and existing plants, manage automatic standard reports, and perform fleet analyses to identify and address operational challenges
• Collaborate closely with other departments, contribute improvement suggestions for future projects and readiness to travel as needed (10–20%)

Qualifications

Job-specific qualification

• Holds a Master’s degree in Engineering (MSc Eng.), preferably in mechanical, process, or chemical engineering, with substantial experience in large-scale plant construction or operation, particularly in waste incineration or dry anaerobic digestion
• Demonstrates strong analytical thinking, enjoys solving technical problems, and effectively works in interdisciplinary and cross-departmental teams
• Possesses the ability to identify, adapt, and implement practical solutions based on extensive experience and best practices, even in complex scenarios
• Capable of working independently by applying guidelines, procedures, and regulations, with a hands-on approach and a practitioner mindset
• Excels in persuasive communication, particularly during challenging discussions, and collaborates effectively to address cross-functional challenges

Methodological competence

• Possesses excellent communication skills in German and English; additional language skills are advantageous
• Demonstrates strong analytical thinking and enjoys developing and implementing solutions to technical challenges
• Proficient in MS Office, with user knowledge of CAE tools (e.g., Comos) and database administration.
• Exhibits a high level of quality awareness, entrepreneurial mindset, and the ability to think and act in a networked manner
• Familiarity with Python, R, Power BI, Tableau, Flux, and SQL is advantageous, combined with a "Continuous Learning" and "Digitalisation" mindset, as well as good knowledge of functional diagrams and descriptions
